Duties:
A delivery helper is an assistant to a delivery driver. In this career, you ride in the truck with the delivery driver and aid them in their home deliveries. Your responsibilities include inspecting packages and merchandise, helping the driver move, load, and unload equipment, and delivering orders for clients or customers. Your duties are also to install and operate GPS software to aid the delivery driver in reaching their destination. As a delivery helper, you may also engage with customers, so you need to maintain professionalism and high customer service standards. Essentially, a delivery helper is responsible for completing whatever tasks the delivery driver needs in order to perform their services.
Skills:
- Warehouse knowledge to handle loading and unloading of cargo.
- Effective communication abilities to relay information to clients and team members.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.
